Ready, Aim, Fire!

This week has been filled with some "firsts" for our family...

-First trip to the Urgent Care center. In all honesty, I'm surprised it has taken 4 years and I'm equally as surprised that Jackson was the first to go. I was sure Will would beat him to it. But, quite literally, Will beat him to it. Nothing a little "super glue", some crayons, and a new coloring book can't fix!

-First week being (relatively) diaper free. In addition to his deadly aim with toy trains, Will has been successful "aiming" in another direction. Monday was marked as "undies day", and other than diapers at bedtime we haven't looked back since. He is doing so well. He loves his "wittle toe-wit", little toilet for those who don't speak 2 year old, and is pleased as punch with himself that he can get his pants off by himself. Gummy bears are the new treat of choice and are eaten with fervor each time the deed is done. Mostly these attempts are at my prompting, I'm still waiting for him to be as excited as I am for the lack of diapers that need to be changed. He now refuses to wear diapers, except when I force them on him at bedtime, but rarely tells me when he has to go. We still have some work to do, but it's a good first step. Hopefully we're not back to diapers next week.

Speaking of diapers, I may just get some for the dog. I'd rather change 100 dirty diapers than clean dog poop out of the basement. But enough of all this potty talk.
